Problem

Twitter users can’t control the frequency of the tweets

 

Status quo

The user sees the tweet mixed by Twitter’s algorithm. Sometimes a single user that they follow could tweet 5 times in short amount of time especially those news portal. The frequency of certain users are not clear.

Although the “See less often” is available, yet the user can’t get wholistic picture.

 

Solution

A scale appears after the user hits the follow button. The user is able customized how frequent the tweets will be in the future.

In the profile page, the user could see the follow rate of each person that they followed.

Melokey

Melokey is a handheld key-triggered sound gadget. Sounds are able to be generated and modulated according to three parameters: shape of the key’s profile, the deepness it goes in, the rotation value of the key. With further control pannel you can switch how the parameter are mapped to the sounds quality. Since each key has a unique profile, the sounds also differ. The gadget can also be played by multiple people.

Open Army Knife was done in the workshop for Encrypt Communication, which aim is to Design Ultra Private and Secure Communication Tools and Services. addressed designerly ways of exploring, ideating and evaluating new concepts for ultra private and secure communication. It was Starting with theoretical and methodological assignments students went through a generic interaction design process to elaborate thoughtful, desirable and inspiring tools and services enabling trustworthy conversations between two or more people.

Lectureers are Stefano Vannotti and Alexander Wilhelm.
